All appointments require a valid referral written by a doctor (your GP, another specialist or a doctor at a hospital). The referral needs to be written to Dr Kathy Lee. It should be faxed to (08) 8266 5550 or posted to 1/102 Reservoir Road Modbury SA 5092. Please ask the GP to indicate your preferred location. Once this has been reviewed by Dr Lee, our staff will try to ring you within 3 working days to make a suitable appointment.
You will receive an SMS reminder 4 days before the appointment.
Appointments can be bulkbilled if
- Your child has a medical condition that needs a paediatrician appointment,
- Your child has a valid referral and
- Your child is registered with Medicare (or is a newborn who is entitled to be registered.)
- You agree to an appointment length that Medicare covers. If you want an appointment longer than Medicare rebates cover you will either need to pay a gap or more than one appointment will be required.
- You live in our catchment area. we do not recommend children be seen by a paediatrician who is not regularly seeing children from that area.
Cancellations: If you can’t attend the appointment Please cancel it as soon as possible. This means a child needing an urgent appointment can be seen. If you do not attend and don’t cancel your child may not be rebooked to see Dr Lee privately.
Recommendations and Requests Made Before The Appointment: Occasionally, Dr Lee will request extra information before the appointment. This will make the best use of the time.
Reports: A letter is always sent back to the referring doctor. Autism Assessments are sent to Autism SA routinely.
